Year 4 students had an exciting and engaging time during the AusCycle bike incursion on Monday and Tuesday! They practised essential bike safety skills, learned how to ride with confidence, and discovered the importance of balance and control. The hands-on activities made for a fun and interactive experience, helping students build their cycling skills in a safe and supportive environment. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm and progress throughout the session!

Year 3 - 4 Coordinator
Last Thursday, our Year 6 students received a very special gift — their own personal Bibles. Traditionally given as a graduation present, this year, we decided to present the Bibles earlier so that students can use them throughout the year for class learning and personal reading of God's Word.
The Bible is more than just a book; it is a source of wisdom, encouragement, and guidance. By placing it in the hands of our students now, we hope to foster a deeper understanding of scripture, encourage meaningful discussions, and equip them with a strong foundation in faith as they prepare for the next stage of their journey.
It was a wonderful moment to see their excitement as they received their Bible, and we look forward to seeing them use it in their learning and daily walk with God.
Mrs Renee Sanson
Year 5 - 6 Coordinator
On Tuesday, 11 February, the Year 2 cohort had the exciting opportunity to participate in a Bugs Gone Wild incursion hosted by Wild Rangers Wildlife. The incursion was a display of various bugs found in Australia, and it aimed to give the students a hands-on experience with the diverse range of insects that call our country home.
The students were fascinated by the different colours, shapes, and behaviours of the bugs and insects, inspecting a millipede, centipede, snail, giant burrowing cockroach and stick insect up-close, and they listened intently as the presenter shared information about each one.
The presentation was not only a fun and engaging way for the students to learn about insects, but it also helped foster a deeper appreciation for the important role that these creatures play in our ecosystem. By studying insects, the students learned about their biology, anatomy, and the ways in which they contribute to the health of our planet.
In addition, the incursion allowed the students to develop important skills, such as observation, critical thinking, and communication. Through discussions and interactive activities, the students were able to ask questions, make predictions, and share their thoughts and ideas with their classmates.
It was an overall enriching experience for both students and teachers alike.

Year 2 Lead Teacher
Last week, we were thrilled to welcome our parents into each of the Prep classrooms for Pop into Prep! These sessions provided families with a firsthand look at the engaging learning experiences their children enjoy in Prep every day at King's.
Our Prep parents enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a variety of classroom activities with their child - including English and Maths games, as well as creative craft projects, and even some shared singing of special songs in Prep!
It was wonderful to see the excitement on the children's faces as they proudly shared their learning.
Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who took time out of their day to visit — it was a joy to have you in our classrooms and we look forward to many more opportunities to share in your child's learning journey this year.
On Wednesday, 5 February, at the Primary Swimming Carnival, our students exhibited such great sportsmanship. They swam, supported, sang and cheered for their team.
One particular student stood out for her Christ-like sportsmanship, cheering and encouraging everyone in her race. Allyvia Flancia, in Rayleigh House, showed great courage and perseverance, in addition to exceptional encouragement to her peers during the race. One teacher saw her servant-heart and acknowledged her right there and then.
The next day, Mrs Malcolm rewarded Allyvia with the 'Ask Me How I Got This' sticker and some King's Coins for her house.
Well done for being the hands and feet of Jesus and supporting our students, Allyvia! You showcase what it means to be a King's Kid!
Mrs Elize Strachan
Deputy Head of Primary
The Seniors of 2025 returned for their final year at King's Christian College with a meaningful and inspiring start to the school year. Their "last first day" began with a heartfelt chapel service, setting the tone for a year of growth and reflection.
Adding to the day's significance, our Year 12 students had the opportunity to hear from recent graduates in a Q&A session. Last year's alumni shared their experiences, offering valuable advice on managing the challenges and opportunities of Year 12. From study tips to words of encouragement, their insights helped set a positive mindset for the year ahead.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11
The first day of high school is a mix of excitement, nerves, and new experiences, and for our Year 7 students, it was no different. Stepping onto campus for the first time as high schoolers, they were greeted with warm smiles from teachers and friendly welcomes from student leaders.
The day began with their PC (Pastoral Care) class, where students met their teachers and were warmly welcomed by our Year 12 students. The seniors offered our Year 7 students guidance and encouragement as they began their high school journey.
Throughout the day, Year 7 students participated in culture sessions designed to help them embrace life at King’s. They gained insight into what a typical day looks like for a King’s kid, discovered growth opportunities available to them, and learned about the values and culture that shape the school community.
As they closed their first day, there was a sense of excitement for what lies ahead. With God’s guidance, supportive teachers, and new friendships forming, the Year 7 cohort is ready to embark on this incredible journey of faith and learning.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6
The Year 12 students have proudly received their senior jerseys, marking a special milestone as they begin their final year. Each jersey is personalised with their chosen nickname, making it a unique keepsake of their King's journey.
As our Seniors of 2025 step into their final year at King's, we pray for God's guidance and blessings over them. May they embrace the opportunities ahead with faith, wisdom, and gratitude, and may this final year be filled with growth, success, and lasting memories.
On Monday, 10 February, our newly appointed student leaders were officially recognised and presented with their leadership badges in our 2025 Leadership Induction ceremony. Each student is uniquely gifted and prepared to fulfil the purpose of their life at the college. They've committed to leading diligently with dedication, integrity and humility, building a strong foundation for leadership that will inspire future students.
Our Year 12 students also received their senior badges, acknowledging their leadership role as the most senior students in the college. They play a vital part in guiding and inspiring the school community, setting an example for those who follow in their footsteps.
Congratulations to all our student leaders. We eagerly look forward to seeing how they will apply their talents and gifts to make a meaningful impact within our school community and beyond. Let's continue to pray for them as they begin this extraordinary journey.

The High School and Primary School Swimming Carnival marks the beginning of our year, a thrilling day brimming with excitement, teamwork, and friendly competition. As students gather by the pool, proudly wearing their house colours, a palpable sense of anticipation fills the air. Each house is eager to take home the win, sparking an energising rivalry that elevated the day.
In the water, our swimmers powered through the 50m events. The pool transforms into a competitive arena where personal bests are broken, and records are put to the test, all in the quest for the title of age champion. Yet, beyond the fierce competition, the swimming carnival is also a celebration of enjoyment and sportsmanship. Laughter fills the air as students eagerly participate in participation races, novelty events, and thrilling relays.
Tyndale once again proved their dominance in the pool, claiming victory in the Primary School Carnival. Meanwhile, Finney made an impressive comeback, regaining the High School champion title they had lost last year.
A big congratulations to our Life Program for raising an incredible $780 towards the St. George Mission Trip. The initiative, led by Lily Ryff, introduced a fun “Golden Lane” where students made a small donation to enjoy a lively swim down the pool lane. This initiative was a resounding success, and we sincerely thank everyone who contributed!

The senior high school chapel service on Tuesday, 11 February, was a special one, as our Culture Captains, Naomi Sweeney & Aldo Van Deventer, took the lead in a meaningful time of reflection and connection. With staff members joining them on stage, they hosted an engaging Q&A session that allowed students to hear wisdom, encouragement, and personal stories from those who lead and serve our school daily.
From faith and life advice to personal testimonies, the staff answered thoughtful questions, offering insights that resonated with Year 11 and 12 students. The session was a reminder that faith is not just something we practice in chapel but something that shapes how we live, learn, and grow together as a community.
With the new school year well underway, it has been wonderful to witness our students settling in, building friendships, and embracing new learning opportunities with enthusiasm. The joy and excitement across our campus here at Pimpama remind us of the incredible journey ahead, filled with opportunities to learn passionately, live purposefully, love faithfully and lead diligently.
May 2025 be a year of growth, faith, and countless blessings for our school community.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” – Proverbs 16:3

With more students riding bicycles, e-bikes, and personal mobility devices, it's important for parents to stay informed about safety guidelines. Understanding the rules and best practices can help promote responsible riding and reduce risks. These resources provide valuable information to support safe and informed travel for all students.
Remember to walk your scooter or bicycle on the school grounds — riding is not allowed!
