This Wednesday, our Year 1 students had an exciting time in their Ignite class, where they engaged in a fun fan-making activity. The classroom buzzed with creativity as each student designed their unique fan, showcasing their personal style and imagination. The hands-on experience allowed them to build their fans independently, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride in their creations. The delightful atmosphere was filled with laughter and teamwork as students shared ideas and helped each other along the way. It was a fantastic opportunity for our young learners to express themselves and develop their crafting skills!
Our Year 6 students enjoyed their first Year 7 Experience Day on Wednesday, themed "Soar Like Eagles." This day allowed current Year 6 and incoming Year 7 students to bond and gain insights into their upcoming transition. The highlight was an excellent chapel service, where Pimpama students celebrated this new journey. Participants engaged in exciting tower-building activities and thrilling scavenger hunts throughout the day, fostering teamwork and a sense of community. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect and prepare for the adventures that await them in Year 7!
We are thrilled to announce that our incredible Parents and Friends (P&F) community has generously donated a brand-new barbecue to the Sports Department! This contribution will enhance our school’s sporting events and promote community spirit during gatherings. Mr. Gilmore our Director of Sports, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for this thoughtful gift. We truly appreciate the ongoing support from our P&F community, which continues to impact our school significantly. Let’s look forward to many sizzling events ahead!

Our school was abuzz with joy during Grandparents Day! Students had the fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with their grandparents, engaging in fun activities within their classrooms. The choir performed songs, and we heard beautiful ensembles from talented students who played their instruments. Thank you to all the grandparents for creating cherished memories with us.
We look forward to celebrating again next year!
'Spectacular' best describes this year's King's Ball. From the elegant Imperial Hotel ballroom and the glamorous guests to the dazzling entertainment and thousands raised for missions, Saturday, 12 October, was a night to remember! This was our fifth ball for King's parents and staff, with the primary mission to 'friend-raise' by building a solid and supportive foundation within our school community. This annual event also provides the chance for our parents to help fundraise for our High School Mission Trips, and this year, the Ball successfully raised $6,630 through a Silent Auction and lucky draw ticket sales. Our three major prizes this year were Two Vitality Memberships for Rigs Recovery, valued at $2,500 each; four tickets to Luke Combs Sydney Concert; and a $1000 Flight Centre voucher. Congratulations to our lucky winners!
Thanks to our 2024 P&F Ball Sponsors & Coordinators
We want to give special recognition to our major sponsors, Rigs Recovery, Venues NSW and Optimise Property Investment. Thanks to the many businesses and families who donated to this event, including Optimise Property Investment, Imperial Hotel, Parkwood Golf Club, Officeworks and Gold Coast Wake Park. We also want to thank our parents and staff who attended this event - for helping us fundraise on the night, bringing so much joy to the occasion, and making this event a huge success. Our most enormous thanks must go to King's P&F Association and our Event Coordinator, Toni Colburn, whose time and energy preparing this event made this event possible.
Today - Friday, 25 October - is World Teacher's Day in Queensland, and we proudly celebrate the dedication of our King's teachers across Early Learning, Primary, High School, and Trade. We take this opportunity to reflect on the fantastic individuals who teach our students daily. Their passion for nurturing young minds and shaping them into tomorrow’s Christian leaders is truly inspiring. We acknowledge their unending warmth, care, and commitment to every classroom, creating a place where our students can thrive. The impact they make both now and into the future is immeasurable. We are pleased to share our World Teacher's Day video highlighting some stories of what our teachers mean to our students.
To every King's teacher: you are truly loved and valued by your school community!
We are excited to announce that construction will begin on our new car park and second entrance to the school in a few weeks. The new car park will be a replica of our current main car park and will extend to the front of the forecourt. The second entrance will feature traffic lights, which we hope to have operational early next year. However, this is subject to a few external factors beyond our control. We aim for the entire project to be completed by early 2025, significantly improving the traffic flow during Drop Off and Pick-Up times. In the interim, we are adding a temporary car park adjacent to the auditorium to minimise disruptions.
In addition, with strong enrolment numbers for our Year 7 and 8 cohorts in 2025, we are pleased to share that construction of Stage 1 of the new Middle School Building will also begin in 2025. Once completed, this impressive three-story building will house 18 classrooms, including Senior Science rooms and a Hospitality area. Stage 1 will consist of:
· 7 General Learning Areas
· 2 STEM Laboratories
· An Innovation Hub
· A Covered Courtyard
· An Undercroft for Student Lockers
We are excited to share the architect’s initial draft of the new building (see below). Once the final plans are confirmed, we will provide you with a full update. Later this term, we will also be adding two multipurpose courts at the back of the school. These should be operational at the start of Term 1 2025.
