In this new school year, we extend a special welcome to our Prep students as they embark on their journey into primary school. Guided by our dedicated teachers, this year promises moments of discovery, laughter, and growth. To parents and families, thank you for entrusting us with the early steps of your children's educational journey. May each day be filled with the wonders of learning and the blessings of God's grace.
It brings us joy to see our students' smiling faces filling our classrooms during these first few weeks of the school year. The atmosphere is alive with curiosity and enthusiasm as friendships blossom and learning becomes a shared adventure. Students have participated in lessons that not only stimulate their minds but also nurture their spiritual growth.
At King's, the spirit of generosity and community runs deep within our vibrant school family. From volunteering in classrooms to assisting new parents with King's customs, sharing insights on Facebook, and organising social events, our community thrives on supporting one another.
We believe in the power of connection and we invite you to partner with us in fostering that connection within your child's class by becoming a Primary School Parent Ambassador where your dedication will make a lasting impact. If you want to know more about the role of our Parent Ambassadors, please view the Parent Handbook below.

With excitement and curiousity, Year 7 students have recently delved into the captivating world of bubbles in their science class. Our young scientists have been exploring surface tension, experimenting with solutions and creating vibrant bubbles. We are thrilled to see our students embracing the world of science with such enthusiasm.

Every year, King's students look forward to the house competition, which starts with the swimming carnival. It was great to have our first Year 7 students attending the carnival and having them lead the cheers. Between the pool, dance battles, and war cries, there was one house that was too strong on the day.

The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is designed to provide regular data on student achievement in the areas of literacy and numeracy: essential skills that each child needs to succeed. NAPLAN is a point-in-time assessment that allows you to see how your child is progressing in literacy and numeracy against the national standard, and compared with their peers throughout Australia. King’s teachers frequently use NAPLAN to provide additional information about student progress and information decisions about differentiation and targeted teaching in the classroom to improve future student outcomes.
NAPLAN testing will take place in March this year. Students in Years 3, 5, and 7 participate in tests for Reading, Writing, Conventions of Language (spelling, grammar and punctuation), and Numeracy.
At King’s, we expect and encourage all students to participate in NAPLAN testing, and we are pleased with our established tradition of high levels of participation. During the testing window in March, catch-up tests will be offered for students who are absent on test days. Support can be arranged for students with disabilities, particularly if the student regularly accesses similar support for school assessment tasks. Students may also be withdrawn from NAPLAN by their parent or carer. This is a matter of consideration by parents and carers in consultation with the school, and would require a signed withdrawal form.
If you wish to discuss your child’s participation in NAPLAN, please contact your child's lead teacher (for Primary Students) or the School Office (for High School Students).
