View all 2024 Term DatesSuch a successful first term for Life. We held a sausage sizzle and a tradie dress day in support of 100% HOPE. From Noah's Ark to High school wearing their best tradie shirts and hard hats. Preps to High school unleashed their inner tradie the week before enjoying a sausage sizzle, as the day unfolded, the atmosphere buzzed with enthusiasm as students and staff alike enjoyed in the festivities.
Amidst the clang of tools and the sizzle of sausages, the joyous culmination came with the announcement of the funds raised. A staggering $775.75 from Tradie Day and an impressive $2497.53 from the sausage sizzle echoed the resounding success of the event. It was a testament to the collective effort and generosity of the school community. With Year 7's leading the charge, their dedication was evident as they not only served the school with pride but also took the initiative to bring the sizzle directly to the Preps classrooms, ensuring no one missed out on the fun. As cheers erupted and high-fives were exchanged, it was evident that beyond the monetary value, the true riches lay in the spirit of giving and unity that permeated the day.
In the heart of our school, a vibrant journey unfolds as our Prep students embark on an enthralling adventure with their alphabets. With a unique twist on learning, each student has been given a special letter stick, meticulously crafted with love and adorned with vibrant colours and a bright feather. These letter sticks are not just tools; they are keys to a magical world of learning. As our students wave them through the air, tracing each letter with enthusiasm and wonder, it's a sight that fills the room with energy and creativity.
This innovative approach transforms the process of learning letters into a colourful adventure, making each lesson a memorable experience. Watching our young learners engage so vividly with their lessons is a testament to the joy and effectiveness of interactive learning. Our commitment to making education a delightful journey for our students shines brightly through activities like these, ensuring that learning becomes a cherished adventure.
Our Year 4 students had a fantastic time diving into Design and Technology on Thursday, 23 May! From crafting their Ramp walkers to mastering the science of friction, every moment was a learning adventure. Witnessing their creations zoom down the ramp, they honed their skills through observation, trial, and error.
We recount the unforgettable Wednesday, 22 May, marked by inspiration, unity, and sheer joy within our King's community. Our Year 7 cohort had the privilege of being joined by the esteemed student leaders from Pimpama for an exceptional chapel session. This event buzzed with an electric atmosphere and showcased the vibrant spirit of our students.
The chapel, filled with uplifting energy, set the perfect stage for what was to come. After the inspirational talks, the excitement escalated as everyone geared up for a spirited game of tin ball, a beloved tradition at King's that never fails to bring everyone together. From Year 7 students to Chaplains, Pastors, and even our school security guard, the participation was overwhelming, embodying the essence of inclusivity and community spirit that King's prides itself on.
Rich with laughter, camaraderie, and school pride, these moments make our King's community extraordinary. They are not just events but cherished memories that illuminate our hearts, reminding us of our bonds and the collective spirit that makes us uniquely King's.

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres around the country. Now in its 24th successful year, it is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6. We love celebrating this event at King’s. Here are a few pictures of our students enjoying this event in our library.
