What an incredible day for our Year 3 students last Friday! The excitement was palpable as they delved into the fascinating world of 3D shapes through interactive songs and engaging outdoor games. Teachers creatively transformed classroom learning into an exhilarating experience, allowing students to explore concepts hands-on. As they identified and manipulated various shapes, laughter filled the air, making the learning process fun and memorable.
This learning not only reinforced their understanding of 3D shapes but also highlighted the importance of experiential learning. It was a fantastic way for our Year 3 students to discover and learn together while building skills that extend beyond the classroom. We can’t wait for more adventures that inspire curiosity and joy in learning!
Last week, our Year 7 students took their visual art class outdoors, embracing the beauty of nature as they sought to see God in all creations. Surrounded by vibrant colours, intriguing textures, and the sounds of the natural world, students were inspired to observe and appreciate the intricate details of their environment. This hands-on approach allowed them to connect deeply with their artistic work and nurture a greater appreciation for the world around them.
As they sketched and created their masterpieces, students reflected on the divine inspiration behind each element of nature, fostering a sense of wonder and spirituality. Learning outside the traditional classroom provided a fresh perspective and enriched their artistic expression. The experience enhanced their creative skills and deepened their understanding of the relationship between art and faith.
We look forward to more outdoor adventures that inspire our students and ignite their creativity!
We are thrilled to share that our students are diving into the world of NRL (National Rugby League) through engaging lessons focused on developing ball skills and promoting health and well-being. Thanks to the incredible NRL League Stars team, our students have received top-notch coaching that fosters skill development and a love for the game!
In these sessions, not only are our students learning essential ball skills crucial for playing rugby, but they also understand the importance of physical fitness and teamwork. These values are vital for their health and well-being, setting the stage for a balanced and active lifestyle.
Seeing our students grow in confidence while learning to work together and support one another on the field is inspiring. Rugby isn't just about the game; it's about building character, resilience, and community!
Thank you to NRL League Stars for their dedication and passion in teaching our students. We look forward to watching our young athletes flourish as they learn and apply their new skills. Keep up the great work, everyone!

With gratitude for our supportive families, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic students. Here’s to a fantastic 2025 at King’s Logan Village, full of learning, exploration, and growth!
Hi Kings,
My name is Matthew Gilbank, and I am excited to join the Kings Christian College Logan Village community. I have been appointed to a new role called the Deputy Head of Behaviour Education (Prep – Year 8).
My wife and children recently relocated to the Southeast from North Queensland. As a father to two primary school-aged sons, I count it a privilege to serve within a Christ-centred community that educates students in Christian leadership for tomorrow’s generation. I believe in partnering with parents/caregivers to encourage, challenge, equip, and empower our young people to become all that God has called them to be.
I’ve had the privilege of serving in Christian Education over the past 19 years where I have enjoyed positively impacting students for Christ from Prep through to Year 12. My tertiary education consists of a Bachelor of Learning Management, a Gratitude Certificate in School Leadership and Management, and a Master of Education.
I enjoy Rugby League, and I am a member of the Brisbane Broncos. I look forward to attending home games throughout this year and beyond!
Bring on 2025!

Hi, my name is Campball, the new Chaplain for Logan Village
A little bit about me. I grew up in a Christian home in a small country town. If I wasn’t helping out in my youth, I would have been on an adventure exploring the outdoors.
After graduating school, I went into acting, studying at New York Film Academy, where I was involved in some big name projects including ads for MovieWorld.
In my free time, I like writing music & spending time with family & friends.
Nowadays, you’d see me serving as a Youth Leader at Saints Youth on a Friday night & Serving on stage with the creative team for church on a Sunday.
I am looking forward to seeing what this year holds & to get to know you as your new Chaplain in 2025
Last Thursday marked our first chapel of the year, and it was indeed a wonderful experience! Our primary students joyfully embraced their identity as "King's Kids," celebrating the happiness that comes with this understanding. Simultaneously, our high schoolers engaged deeply with the "Just Jesus" theme, exploring His teachings and the love they inspire. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with laughter and meaningful learning moments. It was a beautiful reminder of our community's strong spirit and purpose. We are excited and optimistic for a fantastic year ahead, where personal growth and academic success will flourish in our school.
This week, our Chaplain and Well-Being team hosted the Welcome to King's lunch parties, and it was a fantastic experience for our new students! Everyone enjoyed delicious chips and popcorn while getting to know our lovely chaplains and the well-being team. It was a great opportunity to connect, share stories, and make new friends. We're so excited to have you all in our King's community! Welcome aboard!
This week, students gathered for our second chapel of the term, buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. Chappie Ella delivered an inspiring message on "Loving Your Enemies," encouraging everyone to embrace compassion and forgiveness.
The praise and worship session was vibrant, with students singing in joyful harmony. It was a wonderful reminder of the strength we find in unity. We love seeing parents/guardians attend chapel; please feel free to attend any or all of our chapel services.
As we progress this term, let's remember to extend love beyond our comfort zones and continue supporting one another. Keep shining, everyone!
