This exciting event promises fun for the entire family, featuring a variety of activities to celebrate the season. Enjoy festive games, inflatables, face painting, craft activities and an Easter Fest scavenger hunt.
Local vendors will be on-site, offering delicious sweat treats to purchase and, at the same time, sitting at our forecourt listening to performances or walking around and looking at all the student's artwork.

This week, our enthusiastic Year 1 and 2 students began their swimming lessons, making a splash in the pool! With the support of our dedicated instructors, the students are learning essential water safety skills and building their confidence in the water. Each lesson is designed to be both fun and educational, allowing our young swimmers to develop their strokes and floating techniques while enjoying games and activities.
The excitement is palpable as students cheer each other on, creating a supportive environment for learning. These swimming lessons promote physical fitness and encourage teamwork and perseverance.
Our Year 4 students had an exciting day on Tuesday, 4 March. They had the fantastic opportunity to welcome officers from the school support centre, who came to share valuable safety tips for riding bikes and scooters. The interactive session emphasised essential road rules that every young cyclist and scooter rider should know.
The children were mainly engaged as they learned about the officers' various roles and had a close-up look at their equipment. It was a fantastic experience that educated the students about safety and inspired them to appreciate the work police officers do in keeping our community safe.
On Friday, 14 March, our Prep students celebrated their first Foundational Awards Assembly. This exciting event honoured those who exemplified our core values of respect, responsibility, and kindness.
Students received awards before their peers and families, beaming with pride as they showcased their accomplishments. The assembly celebrated individual achievements and reinforced the importance of our foundational values.
Parents expressed their appreciation for the recognition given to these young learners, highlighting how such events create a supportive environment. We look forward to more assemblies acknowledging our students’ dedication and hard work!
The Ad Astra Academic Excellence Program at King’s Christian College in Logan Village is an exceptional initiative to nurture and extend students’ learning through innovative workshops. This program emphasises creative and critical thinking, allowing students to delve deeper into various subjects. Participants can engage in Extension Workshops covering diverse areas such as Engineering, Mathematics, Code Breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, Creative Producers, Cartography, English, and General Knowledge.
Each week, they will complete tasks that challenge their understanding and creativity, culminating in presenting a comprehensive portfolio of their work. The Ad Astra program enriches students academically and fosters a passion for lifelong learning, preparing them for future challenges and opportunities in an ever-evolving world. Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 students who were offered a position in this term program.
These are thrilling times for our high school students! In their Design Solutions class, they’ve been immersed in a hands-on project, laser-cutting their custom chess boards and pieces. This endeavour sparks creativity and fosters teamwork as they gear up for an upcoming interschool chess tournament.
This has marked the kickoff of their internal competition, where students show cased their skills and strategies to secure a place on the official team. The atmosphere was electric, filled with focus, friendly rivalry, and a determined spirit. Each match saw students channelling their inner grandmasters, honing their strategies and adapting to new challenges as they played.

Our Year 7 students have been busy unleashing their creativity in art class by crafting unique critter matter pieces from clay! This engaging project allows them to explore various techniques while bringing their imaginative ideas to life. Each student has embraced the challenge of moulding clay into intricate shapes and vibrant colours inspired by their favourite animals or fantastical creatures.
As they navigate the processes of sculpting, glazing, and firing their creations, students are enhancing their artistic skills and learning about art's significance in expressing individuality and passion. The classroom is a hub of excitement as students share their designs and collaborate on enhancing each other's work.

Friday 14 March was International PI Day!! Our High school maths classes held a fun competition to see who could memorise the most digits of pi. Our standout student, Corban, wowed us by memorising 50 decimal places! He gets a delicious free pi(e) for lunch as a reward! Way to go, Corban.
This week, our Year 8 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at camp! Filled with excitement and new challenges, they had a fantastic time participating in rock climbing, tackling the high ropes course, and learning how to surf. The thrill of raft building brought everyone together as they collaborated and created some impressive craft on the water.
As night fell, the spirit of camaraderie continued with a heartfelt chapel service, where students reflected on their experiences and forged more profound connections. The joy, laughter, and teamwork displayed throughout the week highlighted our school community's essence.
We are so proud of our students for their enthusiasm and bravery in trying new activities. This camp experience has undoubtedly created lasting memories and strengthened friendships. King’s Logan Village kicked off the year with our college’s annual swimming carnival. It is always great to see our students take their opportunities to compete, participate and support their fellow housemates on carnival days. We had a new format allowing 25m races to contribute to the four houses throughout the day and our championship events in the 50m events, which helps prepare our students for the representative competitions through the Pacific District and CSSAQ Championship. With a hotly contested event, we are thrilled to announce that Tyndale was our primary school champion, and Finney took out the high school trophy. Congratulations to our 2025 Age Champions and all the supporters, staff, and students; we thank you for making it a day to remember.

On Saturday 5th, April, a special 'Locals Day' with a FREE entry will be held to celebrate the park’s reopening post-Cyclone Alfred's challenges. The event will provide locals an opportunity to get outdoors, relax and enjoy the park's natural beauty while meeting our cherished wildlife ambassadors and hearing their conservation stories. Visitors will also discover how Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Rangers work diligently across the State to preserve our ecosystems and learn the simple actions they can take in their backyard as a conservation Guardian.
Chapel was an unforgettable experience as our principal appeared surprisedly dressed in full pirate attire! The excitement in the room was palpable as he arrived, transforming our usual gathering into a lively adventure on the high seas.
As he greeted the students, he delivered an engaging message about the treasures in heaven versus those on earth. His powerful words encouraged reflection on what truly holds value in our lives. The combination of his vibrant costume and inspiring message captivated everyone, making it a memorable experience for all.
Seeing the students engaged and enthusiastic highlighted the importance of creativity in our educational environment. We thank our principal for this creative approach to spreading valuable lessons and making chapel a fun and meaningful occasion!

This remarkable event allowed them to dive into "hope habits," essential tools for leading purpose-driven lives.
