King’s Stars Selected for Australia's Women's Rugby 7s Team

Rugby Australia named the line-up for Australia's women's Rugby 7s team this week for the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinbago this August. Among the talented young athletes selected from across the country, were King’s Year 12 students Ava Wereta and Amahli-Sieli Hala. The dynamic duo bring their previous international experience to the team, having been part of the starting line-up for the Women's Rugby 7s team that clinched victory at the recent 2023 SANIX World Youth Rugby Championships.

The Commonwealth Youth Games will serve as an important platform for the development and promotion of women's Rugby and will provide an unforgettable experience for our students. Rugby fans worldwide will be eagerly watching the performances of Australia's women's Rugby 7s team, and our King’s community will be watching Ava and Amahli with great excitement as they continue to make their mark on the international stage.
