Year 11 Honours Service

The Year 11 Honours Service celebrates the academic, cultural and college enhancement achievements of our students from Semester 1.   Year 11 student, Lily Prodger, sang "Waving through a Window" before the formal proceedings began.  Principal, Mr Rob Verreynne, addressed the audience and Mrs Tattersall, from the Teaching and Learning Department, thanked the students for demonstrating our core value of Learning Passionately by achieving academic excellence.

Academic Awards

Academic Honours are awarded to students who demonstrate excellence by achieving an A symbol in at least three or more subjects, not including Christian Studies and Set for Success.

Cultural Awards

Students were also recognised for attaining certification from the Australian Music Examinations Board (WMED) and the State Honours Ensemble Program (SHEP) in their chosen instrument.  A Bronze Honours requires students, in the case of SHEP participants to have been given reserve status in the Honours Ensemble Program, Senior Strings Orchestra

College Enhancement Honours

College Enhancement Honours are awarded to students who have served in the King's and wider community, including missions and have displayed our College Foundational Values in an area of service.

College Enhancement Honours are awarded to students who have met the following criteria:

  • Gold: May be awarded to students who have volunteered more than eighty hours of service during the year or students who participate in an international mission trip organised by the school, a church or a Christian organisation 

  • Silver: May be awarded to students who have volunteered between fifty and eighty hours of service during the year or students who participate in a local mission trip

  • Bronze: May be awarded to students who have volunteered thirty to fifty hours of service during the year

  • Teal: May be awarded to students who have volunteered twenty to thirty hours of service during the year
